Local Empowerment
The company is a B-BBEE Level 1 Contributor and is committed to the B-BBEE transformation initiatives and believes in the power of diversity within the workforce and equal opportunities for the all indigenous.
The company’s philosophy is to compliment government’s efforts in encouraging the active participation of the indigenous, especially the historically disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA), in the downstream and midstream activities of the petrochemical industry (the whole supply chain) with the view to empowering them economically and hence assisting in wealth distribution and eradicating poverty.
In this regard, about 90% of our Retail Outlets and 80% of our logistical activities will be operated and managed by the qualified Indigenous on Franchise basis.
In order to run this professional and highly technical business, INJENA has developed Operational manuals like: Retail Investment and Projects Manual; Retail Operations and Management Manual, Fuel Depot Operations Manual and Finance Management Manual which will be used for training both Staff and Dealers/Franchisees, who will be the qualified HDSA, so that they are mentored in this industry/business as part of our Skills Development Policy.
